Vagal schwannomas are rare, benign tumors of the head and neck and present a unique set of clinical and therapeutic challenges. This article comprehensively reviews the symptoms, treatment approach, and postoperative outcomes for vagal schwannomas. The authors also present a novel combination of nerve monitoring techniques that may reduce postoperative morbidity.
