Primary Hyperparathyroidism During Pregnancy Treated With Parathyroidectomy

A Systematic Review

This systematic review aimed to compare the safety of parathyroidectomy during pregnancy as opposed to nonsurgical interventions to treat hyperparathyroidism (HPTH). This paper concluded that parathyroidectomy results in fewer risks and infant complications than more conservative treatment options and should be considered for all pregnant patients diagnosed with HPTH.
