Cynthia DiBartolo

Cynthia offers some valuable advice about coming to terms with your new normal. She encourages people to embrace the feelings that come with a diagnosis: anger, despair, self-pity. However, she reminds us that community and a well-chosen medical team are essential pieces to get through tongue cancer.

We interviewed Cynthia in March of 2018. Her positive spirit and confidence were apparent right away. Her story is powerful. We hope listening to her speak about her journey resonates with you as much as it did us.

30 Stories in 30 Days

April is Oral Cancer Awareness Month. For the next 4 weeks, we will post stories written by oral cancer survivors, caregivers and friends for our 30 Stories in 30 Days campaign. We hope their perspectives and insight will help others along their journey.
