This article presents eight cases of recurrent oropharyngeal cancer with extratumoral lymphovascular invasion or extratumoral perineural invasion. These features have received little attention as unique features of oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma, and this is the first series on these features in the recurrent setting.
