Effect of Orogastric Tubes on Aspiration and Recommendations for Oral Feeding

It is unknown if the presence of an orogastric (OG) tube results in increased oropharyngeal dysphagia and aspiration risk. The purposes of the present investigation were to determine what effect, if any, the presence of an OG tube has on the incidence of anterograde aspiration and if diet recommendations can be made for patients who require an OG tube.
