Due to post-radiation fibrosis, edema, and an aggressive, unpredictable growth pattern, the clinical staging of recurrent glottic squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) presents a dilemma for head and neck cancer surgeons.  By presenting a case report on a patient with recurrent glottic SCC that was clinically and radiographically under-staged, the THANC Foundation aims to discuss potential classification solutions to avoid this problem.
