Lara Kanefsky is a dedicated professional with over ten years of experience in recruitment, specializing in the tech industry. As one of the newest members of THANC’s Junior Board, Lara brings a passion for supporting the organization’s mission to advance thyroid, head, and neck cancer research and care. Inspired by personal experience, Lara joined the Junior Board to honor her father, Michael Kanefsky, a patient of Dr. Mark Urken. Despite her father’s terminal diagnosis, Dr. Urken’s compassionate care left a lasting impact, motivating Lara to give back and support others facing similar challenges. Through her involvement with THANC, Lara is committed to raising awareness and fostering hope for patients and families affected by these diseases.
