Metastatic squamous cell carcinoma of unknown primary (MUP) continues to present a dilemma in the planning of therapeutic strategy. Radiation therapy constitutes an important component for the management of MUP, however, targeted versus comprehensive radiation remains a point of contention in the literature. THANC explores the long-term outcomes of patients with MUP treated with conservative mucosal-sparing radiation therapy targeted only to the oropharynx and bilateral neck.
