Long-Term Effects of Injection Laryngoplasty on Voice Quality and Vocal Fold Position
In recent years, injection laryngoplasty (IL) has become a popular choice for the treatment of unilateral vocal fold paralysis (UVFP). Despite the widely accepted belief that IL offers only short-term benefits, recent reports have indicated that this intervention may provide patients with improvement in glottic insufficiency beyond the period of expected material resorption. THANC aims to determine whether there are quantifiable differences in perceptual voice measures and laryngoscopic characteristics of glottic insufficiency.
