In August of 2011, I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer at 16 years old. Although it was a terrifying experience, the support I received from my family, friends, and the team at THANC helped me believe that cancer would only be a bump in the road, and that I was still on track to a long and happy life. Six years later, I am grateful to say that although I am still in treatment, I have not stopped having fun and enjoying every moment.
